In Stephenie Meyer's latest, The Host, the earth has been taken over by an alien race called The Souls. They have inhabited our human bodies and do everything we do. Once a human body is captured the host is its new and permanent resident. Wanderer has been a host on almost every planet in the galaxy. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, didn't expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind. As Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who still lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she's never met. Reluctant allies, Wanderer and Melanie set off to search for the man they both love.

For fans of Twilight: this is the book for you! This book has an amazing love story with twists and turns at every corner. This book is slow at some points, but the ending was spectacular. This book does not have sequels to go along side it, but look out for the movie, coming out March 29, 2013!
