Don’t you dare look into the eyes of a Night Marcher! You will be cursed!

Seventeen-year old Emma Townsend is forced to move to Hawaii
with her dad for a new job he is working on. This may be a chance for
her to turn over a new leaf and to stop grieving her mother’s death, but
little did she know that she would be stepping into a whole new world
filled with supernatural creatures. One day she comes across the Night
Marchers—wandering spirits who march from their burial grounds to
ancient battle locations reliving the past. These “Marchers” walk
together chanting, beating drums, and holding torches, but everyone on
the island knows not to cross their path. Everyone but Emma.

Curious to see what was going on, she accidentally locks eyes with
a Night Marcher and ends up bringing on the curse for herself.  The curse
is quite simple: Lock eyes with a Night Marcher and they will steal your
soul. Now she is on the run with the help of a mysterious stranger
named Kai. Can he help her overcome this curse?

I absolutely loved this book. Once I started reading it, I could not
put it down. As soon as I finished it I had to get the second one. I
ended up finishing both books in one day! The reason I liked this book
is because it was a whole new aspect of the supernatural world. There
are so many books out there on vampires or witches, but this one is
definitely different. This is about ghosts that are trapped on earth
and will do anything to steal the souls of humans once they lock eyes.

There is also a little romance mixed in with the story. Emma meets
handsome and sweet Tristan, and is immediately charmed by him, but
then comes along Kai. He changes her entire world and helps her fight
off her Night Marcher. She later finds out that he is immortal and
that they are destined to be together. She is torn between these two
guys and is also in conflict with the Night Marcher—who happens to be
the evil twin brother of Kai!

Will Emma overcome her curse with the Night Marcher?

Find out by reading the book, and if you liked this book check out
the second one called Redemption.
